A groundbreaking generative AI tool is now available when editing materials. This tool automatically creates PBR textures for materials lacking them, streamlining your modeling process.
4. Trimble Connect Integration
New options for Import, Reload, and Save Out are now part of SketchUp’s native Trimble Connect functionality, enhancing collaboration and workflow.
5. Apply Tags to Scenes
The Apply Tags to Scenes context menu option allows you to apply the visibility of selected tags to specific scenes, improving organization in your projects.
6. Extension Migrator
The Extension Migrator is a new tool from SketchUp Labs that simplifies the migration of extensions when updating to the latest version of SketchUp.
7. Purge Unused Assets Reminder
To prevent model bloat, a reminder will now appear by default when saving a file, asking if you want to purge unused assets.

LayOut Updates in Sketchup 2025
1. Enhanced Move, Rotate, and Scale Tools
The Move, Rotate, and Scale tools have been updated to function similarly to their counterparts in SketchUp, improving usability.
2. Join and Split Tools
The new Join and Split tools allow users to separate line segments in a selected entity or merge segments into a complete entity.
3. Zoom Window Tool
The Zoom Window (Z) tool enables users to zoom into a specific area of their document for detailed work.
4. Photoreal Materials and Environments in LayOut
LayOut now renders any Environments or Photoreal Materials from SketchUp models in viewports, with new configuration options for Environments and Ambient Occlusion in the SketchUp Model panel.
5. Pages Panel Print/Export Functionality
Users can now export individual pages or a range of pages from their document using the new Pages panel feature.
