How to reset 3ds Max settings
Resetting 3d Studio Max settings is done as follows; first make hidden files visible. Make sure the program is closed. Now what we need to do is delete 3ds Max user files. 3ds Max reset settings Take a backup of the file at this address or rename it with copy and paste, delete the original and restart 3ds Max program: C: \ Users \ your username \ AppData \ Local \ Autodesk \ 3dsMax \ 20XX – 64bit \ ENU
When 3ds Max is started, a new ENU folder is created.
By resetting 3ds Max settings, you will return the program to its original state.
If the problem is not solved, you can return to the previous settings by deleting the new ENU folder and returning the old folder to its old state.

- Rename the folder to 3ds Max Interactive_BAK. This will create a backup of the old preferences.
- Restart 3ds Max Interactive. A new default 3ds Max Interactive folder will be created.
